why am I different from mouse?

Just got off from TV dinner with my father (very, very rareJ). Of course, we watched the most philosophical channel of all, the "Animal Planet". The question I have is how am I different from animals? I use tools, they use tools. I learn from my parents, they learn from their parents. I compete, they compete. I get in groups and kick ass of the neighboring gang, they do the same. Am I smarter than they? No. Then what is the fucking difference? I am on the edge of jumping to religious part of the topic, but I would prefer to stay clear of it just for the sake of purity of the experiment.
