May. 19th, 2005 09:03 pmCame home, ate, had tea and then surfed the net to find fishing sites in Georgia. Nothing. Only few scientific papers, rafting routes in Caucasus region and general fishing sites. There should be plenty of fish in mountain streams and creeks. Also few lakes look attractive. But before I do any preparation and purchase a boat and fishing stuff, I would like to have general idea on where and what kind of fish are we talking about and also some safety and security guarantees would be nice. There will be no police up there and low-obedient citizen is not supposed to pack a firearm or keep it in a car, so if some bad ass guys like my Niva there is pretty much nothing I could do about it. I have got military maps of Georgia, quite detailed. I have been researching them with great pleasure of someone who saw light in the dark, ever since. Feels great to know your ways around. I dream about me standing in the water in my shorts, Teva sandals, fishing vest, baseball hat, fishing rod and just me and river and no one around. Is it possible in Georgia? Hope it is.
