20 years I haven't seen Dima or heard from him.
We were together ever since our mothers met walking our strollers in Moscow suburb Chertanovo. 3 years of kindergarden and 10 years of school... We did together everything, we were best buddies. He and I had lot of friends, of course, but we were sort of last resort option for each other. Together we played and studied and wrote music and travelled and discussed our dates and made plans for the future. At one point we fell in love with the same girl. Today I received an e-mail from him. He was politely reminding me who he was in case I forgot... It takes 20 years to appreciate what we had...
He is now some kind of a big shot in Moscow office of Siemens...
He was the wonder boy of our neighbourhood as he made a huge telescope that he demonstrated to all the kids, showing them the Moon surface. He also liked chemical experiments and once even burned his balls. He had teenage skin problem but nevertheless was always hitting on the prettiest girls in our school. I loved that guy. I am glad he remembered me.
